Bench Replacement a Strimming October 2010
Photographs by: Peter Land
On 25th October we had coffee and doughnuts and supervised the replacement of the oak bench.
The original bench was only installed in May 2007, but deteriorated quickly. The installer replaced it, suggesting that the wood had come from a diseased tree.
It was such a nice Autumn day that we returned with sandwiches to strim some of the grass.
The weather in the following weeks was poor, so by December, half of the grass remained uncut under very heavy early snow.
