The conservation area is now very lush and verdant thanks to the combination of rain and the odd sunny day. Some bits of the ground are in need of a “haircut” to enable access. Otherwise the Ox-eyed daisies are out in abundance. The Yellow Rattle is spreading, which is good news as this plant semi-parasitises the ranker grasses which should enable the wild flowers to flourish. Besides this, the flowers of the Yellow Rattle are attractive in themselves.
