We had a phenomenal turnout for our work party on the 9th February. Ten people turned up on a very pleasant Sunday morning and we achieved all the coppicing and bramble clearance we had hoped to achieve at the end of the season for this work (March). Great stuff. It was a good social occasion where members and other supporters were able to work and chat about this year and what we hoped to do.
Following on from this was a bonfire to clear the cuttings and undertake this in a controlled manner before we have anonymous fireraisers potentially causing problems. Some photos of the work party in action and the subsequent bonfire are shown. By the way fish wrapped in foil together with a baked potato a very tasty when cooked in the ashes of the bonfire!.
